From his first film, The Cliff Dwellers, which was nominated for an Academy Award for "Best Short Subject Film" in 1962, to the multi-award winning movie Slingblade, James Hampton's career as an actor, writer and director spans over 40 years. He has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his role of "Caretaker" in The Longest Yard and has starred in such memorable films as Teen Wolf, The China Syndrome, Hawmps! and Condorman.
