J. Mardrice Henderson was born and raised in rural North Carolina and fell in love with acting at a young age. He obtained a degree in acting from the University of NC at Greensboro. J. Mardrice's performances have been lauded as "captivating", "strong", and with "shining devotion"! Notably, J. Mardrice performed at the National Black Theatre Festival to sold out crowds as Ya'al in the premiere of Pooled: A Gospel Musical Drama in 2019 and as Deacon Hudson in The Dance on Widow's Row in 2022!
