An Ohio native, JJ received his BFA in Acting from Wright State University. Previous credits include RENT, Tommy, Hair, The Rocky Horror Show, Cabaret, A Little Night Music, The Tempest, Next Thing You Know, Fugitive Songs, Angels in America (Parts I and II), and the title role in Hedwig and the Angry Inch eight times, including ART's Oberon for which he won a BroadwayWorld Award for Best Actor in Boston.
