Kepa Barrett was born and raised in the Hawaiian Islands. He grew up chanting, swimming, surfing, dancing hula, and conserving the lands & waters of his ancestors. His first language was Olelo Hawaii - the Native Hawaiian language that is still recovering today. After graduating from Kamehameha Schools in Honolulu - Kepa earned a Bachelor’s degree from Pitzer College in California. His passion for storytelling translates to everything he does from environmental conservation to film and everything in between.
