Lia Hielkema will graduate with her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Northern Michigan University in May of 2025. She is the founder of Northern’s inaugural student theatrical production company and directed The Last Five Years in November of 2024, featuring Liam Fisher and Kayleigh Clark. A passionate coffee enthusiast, Lia has worked as a barista for over six years. Her favorite musical is Come From Away, and when she’s not rehearsing or performing, you’ll likely find her outdoors near a body of water.
