Perroni played Tom in Shadows, a stage adaptation of John Cassavetes' Beat Generation film. The production was presented by Obie-winning company Hoi Polloi in Brooklyn, Dir/Alec Duffy, a subsequent staging of the original New York Times Critics' Pick. He appeared in a supporting role in Animals, an independent film - Dir/Collin Schiffli, written by David Dastmalchian. The film earned the SXSW Special Jury Award for Courage in Storytelling. Perroni is also a Chicago middle school English language arts teacher.
