Kara was born and raised in Michigan, and although she’s lived in New York City for over a decade, she maintains her midwestern charm and vulnerability. She often plays the naive girlfriend involved with the wrong man, underdog lawyer who fights for justice, or caring nurse who everyone at the hospital relies upon. She holds her MFA from The Actors Studio, and was a scholarship gymnast at The University of Michigan. This helped her achieve a prolific stunt career with over 100 credits on network television.
