After walking out of a grad school program and on the same night auditioning for "Mousetrap", Al landed the lead role of Detective Sergeant Trotter, his first theater role since childhood theater productions of Annie and Peter Pan. He then went on to play Stanley in "Streetcar Named Desire" and Dallas Winston in "The Outsiders" that same year, before landing his first agent and breaking into the world of film. Al is known for playing the titular role of Checo Rodriguez in the upcoming TV series, Speakeasy.
